Last week was an eventful day for the team behind TRT Concept as we partake in NParks’ OneMillionTrees movement to plant-a-tree with proceeds from our Earth Day Collection.
What’s OneMillionTrees movement you ask? Well, it’s an initiative by NParks to restore nature back into our city through the planting of more than a million trees across Singapore over the next ten years.
Why do we do it? As a brand that takes prides in more sustainable options, restoration of our environment is kind of a thing for us. While we are starting small on our journey to make a greater impact of the environment we are inhabiting, we believe baby steps will eventually accumulate into a bigger purpose.
Here’s what went down:
Armed in our very own collection, the team made it our mission that morning to plant five trees in East Coast Park, Singapore.
First, we got cracking with the changkol – after a good half hour of digging an equivalent space for the rootball, we finally got to plant our trees!
Final steps were watering, and the process was relatively rewarding as our trees are standing tall and hardy.
